Ezra Segal
Co-Founder
Ezra is a student at Phillips Exeter Academy and first visited Roatán in the summer of 2021. Motivated by his passion for building organizations and improving communities, he wanted to contribute in a meaningful way. He led campaigns and built a website to help raise funds for supplies and to construct a classroom that provides a safe space for learning. In his free time, Ezra enjoys competitive debate and studying philosophy.
Nathan Segal
Co-founder
Nathan is a high school student from the United States who first visited Roatán in the summer of 2021 with his brother and father. Seeing the limited educational opportunities for kids his age inspired him to take action. Together with his brother, Ezra, he helped raise funds and awareness to provide the community of Crawfish Rock with technology and learning resources. In his free time, Nathan enjoys exploring his passion for film and movies.
Virginia Mann
Teacher
A Roatán native, Virginia was born and raised in Crawfish Rock before moving to the United States at the age of 13. After completing school and earning her degree in early childhood education, she returned to Roatán to give back to her community. Virginia is a community leader, teaching and hosting the classes for local children. She also works to get more children into the classroom.
